Del Cerro is a hillside neighborhood in upper Rancho Palos Verdes, named for the Spanish 'of the hill' — accurate to the topography. The streets curve along the contour above Portuguese Bend Reserve and the Vicente Bluffs, with mid-century ranch homes and larger updated properties on lots that often back directly onto the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve trail system.
The neighborhood's defining feature is Del Cerro Park, a small bluff-top park at the end of Crenshaw Boulevard that serves as one of the most popular trailheads on the Peninsula. From there, the Burma Road and Rattlesnake trails drop toward the coast and connect to the broader Portuguese Bend Reserve network.
Del Cerro is part of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District. The neighborhood is one of the quietest residential corners of RPV, with the Terranea Resort and the Trump National Golf Club a short drive down the hill toward the coast.
